Makita Lithium-ion cordless metal cutting saw is lightweight and compact.
The Makita BCS550Z uses Lithium-ion battery technology which has a number of advantages; the batteries have no memory effect which allows them to be recharged before they are completely discharged, they are up to 40% lighter than an NiCD or NiMH battery and they also maintain their charge noticeably longer which provides increased productivity.
The BCS550Z is a tool only unit and therefore NO batteries or charger are supplied.
