The Makita LS1016 260mm DXT slide compound mitre saw has set the standard for professional slide compound mitre saws. The LS1016 features Makita's DXT technology which means Deep Exact Cutting Technology. A 3-stage reduction gear unit and moveable rear blade guard means that the LS1016 can make the same cuts as a 12" mitre saw when cutting crown moulding and skirting board.

Exact cutting on the LS1016 is achieved by the unique 4 short pole system supported by 6 linear ball bearings, which reduces vibration, adjustable dual sliding fences and dual front bevel scales for precise adjustments.
