"Blue groove" flat wood drill bits have a patented grove point and cutting edge with allows the wood to "cut" and not scrape the wood and a 10% thicker shank adds to the rigidity. The bits also incorperate an increased cutting angle and a parabolic scoop to optimise control and removal of woo chips.

"Blue groove" flat bits are also compatable with the Snappy and quick switch systems
